Avocado Chicken Salad Recipe:
My son was particularly smitten with this chicken avocado salad and requested it for his birthday. It was in his top 3 requests. The other two were this shrimp dip and a cheesy breakfast sandwich. His birthday is coming up this weekend so I’ll be sure to make his dreams come true ;).
This chicken salad is a winner and it is well loved by adults and children. Everything about this is good and you’ll want that fresh lemon dressing on all of your salads.
Easy Chicken Salad Ingredients!!
This Avocado Chicken Salad has such simple ingredients and you may already have everything you need to make it (I just love when that happens)!
- We use rotisserie chicken to simplify the process but you can cook your own chicken breast
- If you are looking to cut the fat, use turkey bacon instead
- For extra protein, add 2 hard boiled eggs
How to Make this a Paleo Chicken Salad:
This salad is perfect for nearly every diet. To make this salad paleo friendly, sub the corn (which is considered a grain) with sliced cucumber.
How to Store Leftover Chicken Salad:
Cover chicken avocado salad with plastic wrap directly over the surface of the salad (keeping the air out will prevent browning of the avocados) and refrigerate.
How to Serve Chicken Salad:
This avocado chicken salad is deliciously versatile. It is a protein packed salad so it’s perfect for work lunch or meal prep and the lemon keeps it fresh and vibrant. Serve this chicken salad:
- As a main course salad
- In sandwiches or pita pockets
- As a filling for lettuce wraps
This is one of our very favorite salad recipes; seriously tasty and easy, hearty but feel good food at the same time.

We hope you discover a new favorite in this recipe. It’s one of those recipes that you make once and then 50 times over. If you try it, let me know what you think in a comment below!
Very good and I even forgot to add the dill. Treated as main dish.
So glad you loved the recipe!
Hi, Natasha,
I’ve made this salad a few times as my husband doesn’t eat mayonnaise. I wanted to make it again, but one of my diners can’t eat olive oil. Is there a substitute for olive oil in the dressing or is there a salad dressing that I can purchase that you recommend will go well with this salad?
Hi Gena! We use olive oil because of the flavor it adds but you can replace with another oil of your preference.
Gena, I sometimes substitute avocado oil in place of olive oil. It is just as delicious!
Thank you for sharing that with us, Donna!
The recipe is easy and so delicious.
I enjoy your tutorial videos very much 🙂
I’m glad to hear that, Andrea! Thank you for sharing.
Hi Natasha! I made this salad the other night and it was delicious but I thought it could have had a little more flavor. Any suggestions for extra herbs/spices so that it’s a little less bland?
Hi Ella! We’ve had great success with the flavor in this salad, but you can definitely increase the amount of the seasoning already used in this recipe (dill, chives, salt, and pepper). I used fresh herbs, not dry. I hope that helps!
Egg was not in the directions so I didn’t add one. Recipe was perfect. I used rotisserie chicken. One breast and on thigh. Cooked an ear of corn in the microwave for 3min. I added the avocado to the dressing before mixing into the rest of the salad. Just under 1t of salt was perfect. Next time I’m going to try adding a mango.
Hi Cheryl, I’m so glad you enjoyed it! That’s right, the egg is not in the directions since we note in the account “For extra protein, add 2 hard boiled eggs”.
We love this salad! I always fry the avocado & corn (separately) in a frying pan first, add lime juice. it enhances the taste of both and we quite like this salad luke-warm!
I’m so glad you enjoyed it, Linda!
Help! Realized I don’t have EVOO.. can I use spray EVOO or vegetable oil ?
Hi Joanne! I am not sure about the spray. I think it could work but I worry about the other additives it could contain that may effect the taste. Another oil could work too, it just wouldn’t have the wonderful taste that extra virgin olive oil provides.
This was so good!
I did substitute 1/2 a cucumber for the corn and I added the 2 hard boiled eggs but, other than that, I followed the recipe.
Even my husband, who doesn’t care for avocado, liked this.
Definitely on my meal rotation. Thank you!
That’s amazing, Pam! Thanks for the feedback!
You definitely want fresh dill. You can substitute dry dill but taste and add more if necessary. I did not add enough. Try to use an avocado that is ripe but still fairly firm. Mine was a little too soft. And add the avocado dead last and stir it in before or as you add the dressing. Otherwise the edges get mushy and everything turns green. Also, pour the dressing over the salad as soon as you make it or the salt and pepper just goes to the bottom of the measuring cup. If you let it sit give it a good stir before you pour. This was pretty good was good and I’ll probably make it again. I
Hi Karen! Thank you for the feedback. Glad you liked the recipe.
I make this all the time at home and for my office – people ask for it!! I add a little Dijon mustard to the dressing. So yummy!
That sounds delicious, Whitney!
This recipe is outstanding, and it makes me feel so good about eating healthier afterward. Is there an alternative recipe for pescatarians?
Hi Adam, thanks a lot for your good comments and feedback. I honestly haven’t tried a substitution for it to advise.
Love this recipe. So easy and delicious! I added tomatoes for my husband and he loved it too!
I’m so happy you both enjoyed this recipe, Wendy. Thank you for sharing that with us!
I really enjoyed this recipe! I always check with Natasha’s Kitchen first whenever I’m trying to make something delicious. I followed the recipe, except i used Two 10 ounce canned chicken, drained. I only had avocado oil on hand and it substituted fine. my lemon provided 4 Tbl spoons of juice so I used 4. I also added about 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder. I served this on a warm tostada shell and it was so filling!! Yummy 10/10 !
Thank you for sharing, Domma!
This sounds great, except my wife won’t eat avocado. Guess I’ll just have to cut it in half and add black olives because she doesn’t like those either.
Hi Joseph! I hope you love the recipe. 🙂
I , even when i am not looking for a recipe, enjoy reading your posts.
Hi Dianne! Thanks so much. I’m glad you enjoy my blog.
Sometimes I add spiral pasta for a little more filling, especially when I have alot of guest so it will go further.
I love, love love all your recipes! You never disappoint!!
What a great idea, Rhonda! Thank you for sharing. I’m so glad you’re loving the recipes.
LOVE LOVE this recipe!! We have made it several times over the past few weeks in our house. Thank you so much for all your hard work and effort!!
You’re welcome, Larissa. We’re so glad that you love it so much!
Can I add cilantro to this recipe instead of dill? I know they really arent the same.. just trying to use up some cilantro I have on hand!
Hi Janna, cilantro will work! One of my readers mentioned they tried this with cilantro and loved it!
I don’t like dill. Could I replace it with parsley? Or do you have any other ideas to replace the dill?
Hi Jamie, one of our readers shared that they used parsley and liked it too!
Natasha, you are fantastic & I have improved my cooking just because of you. I’m a famous sculptor who sadly has been ill with chemo cancer for two years . You have helped me heal & cook again. Plus I love to see your adorable children come in to eat & enjoy your delicious food. Thank you
I’m so happy you love our recipes, Ann! Thank you so much for your compliment and encouraging words. Food truly is a way to our hearts and our health. I’m happy to hear you are healing and cooking <3 Blessings to you, Ann! ❤️
ANN, your sculptures are stunning! Truly! I’m sorry to hear about your medical challenges. Prayers up for you. I am an artist & writer – not famous, lol, but from one artist to another – all the best in your recovery!!
I love my salads with avocado and tuna, always creamy, healthy and delicious. Thanks for the recipe.
You’re welcome! 🙂
Hi natasha,
Is bacon necessary in this salad. Is there any alternative?
Hi, I like the salty bite, but you don’t have to add bacon. You an sub with turkey bacon or just leave it out.
I am passionate about this salad! I crave this salad. I work 12 hr shifts and often make it to take to work dividing the ingredients into three individual containers. Then I pack a whole avocado a hard boiled egg in my bag each day with the dressing in a little container. Assemble and eat. Sometimes I add grape tomatoes, veggies or toasted almonds. But it really is a perfect salad just as it is.
Helo Marga, that’s good to know because this salad is healthy aside from super yum!
I have made in advance with good results. Just add the dressing to the avocado. I actually think it taste better
Thank you so much for sharing that with us!
SO delicious! Such simple ingredients, easy to put together and I’m not surprised this is the most viewed/made/famous recipe! Love the simplicity of lemon & oil only dressing. I am hooked! 🙂 Thanks so much!
Hello Chey, nice to hear from you and thank you for your great comments! We appreciate it.
We love this salad. l live very close to a farm where l can get fresh corn on the cob and l added more corn and since l have fresh thme in my garden l used that instead of dill. The dressing is awesome as well. 👍
That’s perfect! I’m glad you like this salad.
I have made this salad many times and would love to customize it for my next party. Do you think it would be ok if I add bow tie pasta into this salad? Do you think it goes well together?
Hi Jessie, I think it’s okay. We’d love for you to try it and if you can share with us how it goes that would be lovely!
This is so light and delicious yet filling !! Perfect to eat alone or in a pita ! Will definitely make again and again the whole house approves ! Win win !
Happy to know that you love it! Thank you for your good comments and feedback.
I love this recipe, my favorite thing to do is add the Marie’s original coleslaw dressing instead of the dressing in the recipe. It is so good together!
That’s great! So glad to hear that.
I love It Natasha it tastes really good and yummy. Go on with your hard work.
Thank you for your good comments and feedback!
I added cucumber and a few
Roma tomatoes.
My kids like to mix it with lettuce and top with croutons. Sooo good.
Sounds good, great to know that your kids like it too!
I made it as is. The recipe is packed with flavor. I love mayo so I was leery of the lemon vinaigrette but glad I kept mayo out. The whole family gave it 5 stars. Surprisingly, the small leftover avocados didn’t turn brown overnight. Yes, the dressing seemed salty if that is all you eat but keep in mind the dressing goes over the entire dish. My tweak would be adding more corn.
Love it! Thanks a lot for sharing that with us, David. So happy to know that it was a huge hit!
I’ve been making this recipe for a while now and it never disappoints. It’s a great base for whatever other veggies are in season — or on its own. It’s always requested when my daughter comes over for a quick lunch.
For those who nitpick it…gosh, just modify it and don’t criticize.
That is the best when kids love what we moms make. That’s so great!
Beautiful and tasty salad but I’m surprised at how much salt is in the dressing. I love salt, use it all the time, but the amount of salt in the dressing is too much for me.
Hi Lisa, feel free to adjust the salt in this recipe according to your personal preference.
Soooo good! I poached 3 chicken breasts in well seasoned liquid (chicken broth, white wine, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cooled and shredded them the night before I made the recipe. Upped the remaining ingredients slightly because I used 3 chicken breasts. Made the salad in the morning and chilled it for 3 hrs before whipping it out at our picnic. It was a hit! Served with slider buns but I ate my serving “as is”. Absolutely delicious! Love your recipes, Natasha!
Sounds delicious! Thanks for sharing the details with us, good to hear that you enjoyed this recipe a lot!
I made half the recipe after a busy hot work day. Absolutely delicious, I used a little red onion instead and parsley rather than dill. I ate it up! I will make the second half asap!
Thank you for sharing, Silvia. So glad it was enjoyed.
it looks wonderful, the trouble is Avocados taste like soap to me, so I was wondering if something else could be substitute for that I just joined and there are so many wonderful recipes thank you so much!
Hi Eileen! Thank you for joining! I do not have a recommended substitution for the avocado. You could just leave them out but they add to the flavor of this dish quite a bit. I have some other chicken salad recipes HERE that you can look through. I’m sure you’ll find something you’ll love. 🙂
I make this for co workers and myself for lunch. I added artichoke hearts and used some of the oil from that instead of EVOo. We love it and it has become an office favorite.
I’m so glad you found a favorite from my blog, Kacy! That’s so great!
Great recipe and the taste, impeccable!!! Natasha you did an awesome job!! This is in rotation for meal prep for this week!
Thanks so much, we appreciate your great comments and review!
we had left over blackened salmon, used that instead of chicken, was delicious, Thank You for your recipes
Glad to hear that. Thank you, Suzane!
How ripe do you want to the avocados to be for this salad?? Cant wait to try it, it looks amazing!
Hi Danielle, the ready to eat avocados would be good!
I love all of your simple and perfect recipes. I made banana raisin, walnut bread and it came out exactly like yours. You are so good..
Hello Juliet, I’m happy to hear that you are enjoying my recipes. I hope you’ll love all the recipes that you will try!
This salad is so bomb! It is a family favorite in our household. We even whip out this recipe when we have company because we know it’s THAT GOOD! If you’re debating between salad recipes to try for dinner, don’t hesitate on this one!
Love the recommendation, thanks a lot, Laura!
HI Nastasha – Love love love this recipe!! Are the nutritonal facts for the entire recipe or just a serving? And what is the serving size?
Thank you again for all the wonderful recipes.
Hi Marca, The serving size can be found at the beginning of the print-friendly recipe card (located at the bottom of the recipe post). The nutrition label shows counts “per serving.” Hope that helps!
I am interested in making this for lunch for work. How long can this be refrigerated?
Hi Hannah, avocado starts to brown quickly so it’s probably best to eat this within 2days. To store, cover the chicken avocado salad with plastic wrap directly over the surface of the salad (keeping the air out will prevent the browning of the avocados) and refrigerate.
Thanks for sharing this recipe, during harvest time we have lots of rotten avocado because we don’t know anymore what to do with excess avocado. Thanks
You’re welcome and this is perfect since you have a lot of avocados handy.
For several years I threw out over ripe avocados too. Then I learned that you can freeze them if you have too many to use up before they spoil.
Hi Natasha,
Just made your avocado chicken salad and it is AMAZING. I didn’t have dill so I used cilantro and it worked perfect. I ate it for supper, late-night snack, and planning to have some for breakfast too🙌🏼 Thanks for the amazing recipe!
Sounds great, Kate! Good to know that cilantro worked so well in this recipe. Thank you for sharing!
Made it tonight, Clean Plate Club. We added chopped red onion to the dish
This dish is AMAZING !! Whether it is a salad or a main course, it is delicious. Thanks Natasha.
Hi Ken, thanks for the great feedback. I’m happy that you enjoyed it!
Hey, your avocado chicken salad is amazing, wow wow wow!!!!, 100 percent from me darling.
I made this for a family get together and was told I must always make it! It was delicious!
That’s so great! It sounds like you have a new family favorite! That’s so great, Nancy!
Excellent must be so delicious, I will try definitely. Thanks again Natasha.
You’re welcome! I’m so happy you enjoyed it!
I have made most of these recipes over and over again .we enjoy them so much.thank you
I’m so glad you enjoyed it!
Sounds delicious. Will make tomorrow! I guess we could make this without the chicken, too.
hope you love it, Carolyn!
Natasha, thank you for yet another wonderful recipe! We had to skip the eggs due to an allergy, and a few of us added a dash of True Lime powder to our bowls for extra brightness. Otherwise, we followed your recipe exactly.
Before I found your YouTube channel, I had never cooked more than a few recipes from a single source. I’ve probably made about ten of your recipes so far, and every single one has been a success!
Thank you so much for sharing that with me, Kira!
I have returned to this recipe many times – just perfect and everyone loves it.
That’s so great! Thank you so much for sharing that with me, R!
This is my daughter’s (now 17) favorite salad, and she has it for her birthday every year. Her friends come over and exclaim, “Is this THE salad??!!? I LOVE this salad!!!” I quadruple this recipe and it is GONE! Thank you for such a great dish!!
That’s just awesome! Thank you for sharing your excellent review, April!!
This recipe looks and sounds good to me. I have not made it yet, found the recipe just now and I will most definitely try this.
Next time you will hear from me is my verdict. I will try to make it this weekend.
I’m looking forward to your feedback, Rosie!
Best tasting Avocado chicken salad
Thank you!
Hello!
This looks so good. I know the recipe calls for chicken breasts but would thighs work?
Hi Kathleen, we prefer it with chicken breast, but thighs may work also. I hope you love this recipe!
OMG..this Avacado salad recipe was AWESOME! My husband couldn’t stop eating. It was very light and the many options available from this this one meal is amazing.
This is a keeper.
I’m so glad this was a hit, Penny! We love it too! It’s totally a keeper!
Hi Natasha! I can’t wait to try this recipe! I just got married and your blog has been our daily menu! Is there a different dressing which is creamier that you recommend for this salad? Thanks!
Aww, that’s the best! Thank you so much for sharing that with me. Congratulations on your wedding! I think anything light would work. Some of our readers added mayo to their dressing to make it more creamy. If you experiment, let me know how you liked the recipe.
This chicken avocado salad is still one of my FAV recipes. I generally leave out the egg – sometimes add a few cherry tomatoes. Today I used purple onion (what I had on hand) and added it to chopped romaine. Makes for a lighter main dish at lunchtime (plus gives me left-overs.
I’m so glad you found a favorite on my blog, DeAnna! That’s so great!
Something besides dill you would recommend i n this? Looks yummy!
Hi Tina, I would skip dill and just leave it out. You can add more of the chives if desired.
I love your cooking
I’m so happy you’re enjoying my recipes, Sukainaa!
Could you use lemon infused olive oil instead of fresh lemon and olive oil? And by the way, I love your recipes. Cant wait to try this one. Thank you for all you do.
Hi Debra, the fresh lemon will definitely give you better and more lemon flavor than just oil infused with lemon flavor.
Delicious! Made with fresh lemon as suggested…my husband, nor I can get enough. Thank you.
I prepared the chicken with a sous vide and some seasoning. Happy bellies!
Hello Debra, that is great to hear! I hope you and your husband will love every recipe that you will try.
I loved this salad!! It’s such a great summer salad. Would it work if you used either crab or shrimp instead of chicken? Or are the flavors only meant for chicken? Thanks!
I’m so glad you enjoyed it, Shylo! I haven’t tried that substitution, but it may work. If you experiment, I would love to know how you like that.
I made this salad several times two summers ago and it was a hit with my family. I had forgotten all about it until I popped back on your website the other day while meal planning. We made it last night and oh my goodness, now I remember why we loved it so much! We served it on a bed of chopped romaine lettuce and red cabbage and it was incredible…. This salad is definitely going back into our meal rotation!
I’m so glad you re-discovered this family favorite, Holly!
I subbed the corn for cucumber and also added cashews. My husband is on his second bowl!
Yay, good to know that your husband loved it!
Hi Natasha,
I made this last night for my wife and I. I added 4 chopped up hard boiled eggs to it. One word.
Deeeeeeelicious!
Will have the leftovers tonight in a wrap.
When I make this again (and I will for visitors), I am thinking I’ll have a bowl of walnuts and a bowl of dried cranberries on the table to add as toppers.
Thanks so much for this recipe!!
Cheers,
Gil
Yum! so good! I’m so happy you enjoyed that. Thank you for sharing that with me Gil!

Love your recipes and want to try this salad, but it has a lot of sodium, is there a way to reduce it?
Hi Anna, feel free to reduce the salt level used in this recipe.
I love all your recipes, but this truly was amazing. Thank you. You should also try the Lahaina, Kaanapali area of Maui.
Thank you for your good comments and suggestion, Thomas!
my dream is to have a direct course with you! I think you are awesome
Aww, that’s the best! I’m so inspired reading this! Thank you!
Cooked with kids for a Memorial Weekend gathering today and made three dishes from your site. This was the 3rd time we made this and got so many compliments. We sometimes add cherry tomatoes. Also made the tres leches for a girl who said the one she had at a Mexican restaurant was not good but loved yours. And we made the cream puffs and guests were impressed. Thank you!
You are very welcome! I’m happy that the recipes are always a hit, thanks for sharing that with us! I hope you and your friends will love every recipe that you will try.
This salad is a family favorite! We have added a can of rinsed black beans, and swap out the dill for one bunch of chopped cilantro. I like to add some diced jalapeño to my portion. I think we may add pepitas next.
Yum! Great idea! Thank you so much for sharing that with me, Emelem!
I also always substitute cilantro for the dill, and I love the thought of adding black beans. I’m making this for the weekend, so I think i’ll give that a try! Thanks for sharing!
You’re welcome, Melanie! I hope you love it!
This is simply great. I’m a fan of your website & recipes.
I don’t see where this recipe says how many it’s serves? I imagined 4 ( size of your famy)
I have to serve 12 people. Would I triple it?
Plus what best way to shred rotisserie breast? Maybe show us that sometime .
Kind regards
Dot
Ho Dot! Thank you so much for sharing that with me! The serving size can be found at the beginning of the print-friendly recipe card (located at the bottom of the recipe post). The nutrition label shows counts “per serving.” This recipe serves 6 as a side. For 12 people, as a side, I would double it. Hope that helps! To shred chicken breast, you can use two forks and rip it apart or a mixer works too! Once the chicken is cold, make sure you remove the bones, turn your mixer on low speed and slowly mix away until shredded, don’t overdo it though! I hope this helps!
I buy my rotisserie chicken from Meijer and they always sell some chickens shredded. Not sure if you live near a Meijer.
Thank you so much for sharing that with us!
SO good. When I say I can eat this everyday, I mean I can eat this EVERYDAY. It’s so easy and delicious. My one and half year old also approves!
Wow! That’s so great! I’m so glad you found a favorite on my blog!
Natasha,
All of you’re recipes are AMAZING! That’s the comment I heard from friends. They loved the Cobb Salad….DELICIOUS!
Thank you so much!
Susan
Wow, that is so heartwarming. Thank you so much for this great feedback, I appreciate you sharing it with us, Susan.
I wonder if adding pasta to this salad if it would be good?
Hi Cristal, I haven’t tried that, but several of our readers served this over or with pasta and loved it.
I love, love, LOVE it! I made this specifically for my lunches this week. Taste tested tonight and omg so good. I can’t wait for lunch time tomorrow! I’ll be making this a lot. Thank Natasha!
Love it! I’m happy to hear that you enjoyed this recipe, Pam. Thank you for your awesome review!
How come all your recipes are so good!
That’s so sweet of you, Peggy. Thanks a lot!
Hi Natasha !
Your recipes are great especially the salads . I have observation though. In your nutrition facts portion, may I request please include serving portion sizes. I know that number of serving portion in 1 recipe is already mentioned , but it would help to know the serving portion sizes too.
Im forever grateful that you share good recipes.
More power to you.
Hi Juliet, with this recipe, the serving size is about 1 to 1 1/4 cups. I’m so glad you enjoy our recipes.
How much is one serving? Like one cup?
Hi Amanda, I would say each serving is about 1 cup – maybe 1 1/4 cups.
Natasha, I’m such a fan of yours!!! You are pure magic in your videos and your recipes are delicious.
Avocado chicken salad is among my very favorites! Been making for a few years, it is always a hit!
Thank you for that wonderful compliment! You’re so nice!
OMG this is awesome! Thank you for sharing. I will take this to our next get together with friends and share the recipe and your site. Thank you for your wonderful recipes.
You’re welcome! I’m so happy you enjoyed it, Shanna!
Hi Natasha!
Guess how many times I have made this recipe this week…THREE! 3 times..
oh my goodness absolutely divine!! I use chicken thighs (cooked in salt water for 15 min), and add slightly more lemon juice and a tad more salt and served it with pita bread…O.M.G.! My family can’t get enough and I’m tired of cleaning the chicken haha SO good!!!
That’s just awesome! Thank you for sharing your wonderful review, Stefi! It sounds like you have a new favorite!
My Burmese family love this salad as I attempted for the first time. It was the best salad according to my sister. Thank you very much for sharing.
You’re welcome! I’m so glad you all enjoyed it!
Hi Natasha!
I was very excited to try this as a cool dinner after a hot day in Texas. I’m almost positive the issues are of my own doing- rotisserie chicken breast, bacon, lime juice and salt in the dressing made for a salty salad. I plan to use lemon juice and cook my own chicken next time and maybe wait on the salt in the dressing until everything is mixed up. I enjoy you and your recipe videos!
Sounds like a good plan, Michelle. I hope you’ll love every recipe that you will try!
Hi Natasha!
Thanks for sharing this recipe! I made it exactly as you and it’s so good! I was wondering though, what is the serving size?
Hi Stephanie! I’m so glad you enjoyed it! The serving size can usually be found in the recipe card; click on Jump to recipe when you are at the recipe link. I hope that helps. This recipe serves 6 as a side dish.
Love all your recipes
You’re so nice! Thank you!
Hubby and I loved this one! I have loved all of your recipes I have tried. Have you published a cookbook yet?
I’m happy to hear that! I don’t have a cookbook yet but I am already working on it.
Love all your recipes. I tried alot of them and my family loves them. My 3 picky kids too. LOL
I definitely would also love a Cookbook when it comes out.
Thanks for sharing that with us, Kristine. I’m glad your family loved the recipe! I don’t have a cookbook at the moment but I am already working on it.
I LOVE All your recipes <3
I’m so happy to hear that, Mandy! Thank you for that wonderful review!
Would you know how long can I store in he refrigerator?
I haven’t tried storing this for more than 2-3 days but you can store leftovers by covering chicken avocado salad with plastic wrap directly over the surface of the salad (keeping the air out will prevent browning of the avocados) and refrigerate.
How many days will this keep? I am worried about leaving in the fridge while the avocado turns color.
I haven’t tried string this for more than a few days but to store it – cover chicken avocado salad with plastic wrap directly over the surface of the salad (keeping the air out will prevent browning of the avocados) and refrigerate.
Love this recipe. Fresh and tasty. And very filling too.
Hi Michaela, I’m so glad you enjoyed it!

This was a surprise hit. So flavorful. I didn’t have fresh corn and had to sub for frozen but was still great. When I tasted the dressing, I thought it would be bitter and too lemony but when tossed, it was so flavorful and bright. Love, love, love.
I’m so glad you enjoyed it, Stefanie!
Hi Natasha! This is my forever go to recipe for a quick dinner cos my daughter loves this as much as we do! Quick question, for the national facts, what is the serving size considered.. 1 cup?
Nutritional I mean! Auto correct!
Nutritional I meant.. not national! So much for auto correct 😛
Hi, I would say each serving is about 1 cup – maybe 1 1/4 cups.
