Raspberry Sherbet Party Punch

This Sherbet Party Punch is perfect for potlucks, baby showers & Valentines Day! @natashaskitchen

This party punch is so pretty and refreshing. It is perfect for baby showers, church potlucks, Valentines day parties and family get-togethers.

It’s a showy punch and your guests will be intrigued by the fizz, colorful floating fruit and sherbet of course. My sister Sveta frequently brings her version of this sherbet punch to parties and it’s always a hit.

You can easily cut the entire recipe in half for a smaller crowd. It is simple to assemble and you can pre-scoop and freeze your ice cream balls in advance – remember that Instagram post I shared? This is what the ice cream was for! 🙂

Raspberry Party Punch Ingredients:

2 Liter Bottle Sierra Mist, Sprite or 7-up, chilled
2 Liter Bottle Club Soda, chilled
1 Fruit punch can (12oz), or pink lemonade, thawed in the fridge (*see note)
1 Pineapple juice can (12oz), thawed in the fridge (*see note)
6-8 scoops Raspberry Sherbet Ice cream, or any flavor you have available

*note: if you can’t find fruit punch or pineapple juice, then 2 cans pink lemonade will work well also.

For Garnish (optional, but so pretty!):

Fresh or frozen raspberries for garnish
Pineapple slices for garnish (canned or fresh)

How to Make Raspberry Sorbet Party Punch:

1. Pre-scoop ice cream and place on a baking dish lined with plastic wrap. Freeze and add ice cream just before serving so it remains frozen in the punch.

2. In a punch bowl, combine: 2 juice cans. Pour in Sierra Mist and Club Soda and gently stir until combined.

3. Add pineapple slices and raspberries if using and top with scooped sherbert just before serving. The ice cream will keep it chilled. Add cold water or ice if desired to control how sweet your punch is.

Note: once the ice cream melts, the punch will be sweeter.

Hi! I love this for a baby girl shower. What would you recommend for a blue or green punch? Have you tried using Hawaiian Punch to substitute to make it blue for a baby boy shower?

Hi Lacey! I have not tested any substitutes but feel free to experiment with the recipe. You can reference my images above to see what I used, I am not sure if Hawaiian Punch comes in the frozen concentrate cans but if they do, that should work just fine.

Did you use *sherbet or *ice cream? You seem to use both words throughout the instructions. I don’t know if there’s a shortage because of the pandemic (??) but no one is carrying raspberry sherbet in my area, but I want to make this for my DIL baby shower.

Hi Kimberly, sherbet falls in between sorbet and ice cream. Since it contains dairy, so it is called sherbert ice cream, so we used both names for it since it is ice cream.

I’ll be making this for a Sprinkle this Sunday. I’m trying to determine the size needed for the punch bowl. I’ve calculated the number of cups for the liquid ingredients + 2 cans of frozen lemonade (12 oz Each). How many cups would you estimate for the sherbert? I’m concerned the bowl will be too full + the ladle may cause the punch to rise.
Thank you. Love your recipes & tips.

The Sherbert does not have to be exact, its more of a tasty garnish than anything else. I would add the sherbert after the liquid is in the punch bowl and if you feel like its too full just pour some into an extra container and then add the sherbert. You can always add the extra liquid back in as people are served and there is more room in the bowl.

It was pretty tart, so I added a red Solo cup of water to water it down, which helped. I couldn’t find frozen pineapple juice. We served the punch in tea cups and our party goers seemed to enjoy it.

Hi Samantha, you could lay them out on parchment or wax paper as well :). I haven’t tried substituting with ginger ale, but keep in mind if you try it that ginger ale is very sweet whereas club soda has no sugar in it so your punch would probably end up overly sweet. This is why I would recommend club soda instead of ginger ale.

I love this recipe! I made it for the first time this weekend at my daughters sprinkle. I got Raspberry Vodka that Stefanie Berger recommended and kept it on the side for adults. I also made an ice mold with ginger ale and some raspberries which helped to keep it really cold for a long time. I used ginger ale because I didn’t have any of the other sodas left but it turned out beautifully!!! Also used canned crushed pineapple instead of the rings.

Would it be OK to use the regular 64 oz non-frozen/non-concentrated containers of fruit punch and pineapple juice? If so, how much? If no, then would it be better to use the 2 cans of frozen pink lemonade instead? Any help is appreciated! Thank you!

Hi Hill, you could use 2 frozen pink lemonade cans or 1 lemonade and another frozen juice flavor variety. Using the non-conentrated juice would water down your punch since the proportion of fizzy liquid with regular juice would be altered. Enjoy!

absolutely love this punch. quick and easy too. I kept it alcohol free for kids, I just added raspberry vodka to individual glasses for adults. this will be at all my summer gatherings🍸

Hi there!! This looks absolutely delicious and it’s so pretty I am going to make it for my daughters birthday party in a couple weeks:)!! Just wondering if I should be making it with actual sherbet or icecream? Which do you prefer ? Thanks so much!

Wonderful recipe! Any tips on how to make an “adult version”?

I’ve never tried making it into an adult version. I’m not sure any kind of alcohol would mix well with the ice cream. I just haven’t tried it. Sorry I’m not very helpful with your question.

Looks awesome! I’m going to make this for a girls baby shower this weekend. Excited to see how it turns out. I’ve done blue punch a number of times, but this is my first opportunity to make a pink one for a friend 🙂

My family’s variation is ginger ale + Ocean spray cranberry-raspberry juice + vanilla ice cream. Sounds similar, but I love how colorful yours is, definitely going to try it sometime.

I’m so happy to hear you liked it! We love it too. Next, you should consider the no cry gloves. We recently discovered them and they make the slicing so much safer (My hubby hurt his finger on a slicer recently and that’s why we were looking into it). It’s so nice for the mandoline, julienne slicer and grater. My son puts them on too when he insists on helping with the grater. 🙂 I’m doing a giveaway for them in this months email newsletter: https://madmimi.com/p/01aed5?fe=1&pact=28157682881

We got a pair of the gloves last year. They are definitely finger savers. I can’t do without them now. Printed out the fruit punch recipe. Can’t wait until next party to do this.
