These Shrimp Kabobs Taste Like Vacation

Shrimp kabobs on the grill

That’s the first thing I thought about when I sunk my chops into these; Maui… Give them a try and you’ll know what I mean.

This is a recipe revisited. Its based on my original marinated and sautéed “Garlic and Herb Shrimp” except I put them on skewers and grilled them on the BBQ. MMMMMM!! They reminded me of Maui and Mexico at the same time. They have an exotic taste to them. Wish I had some leftovers.

Click Here for the Recipe. Just skewer them instead and grill for about 2 minutes each side over medium/high heat, or until they are no longer transparent. We cooked them over the searing portion of the grill. Pre-soak the wooden skewers in water so don’t burn. These shrimp kabobs are soo easy and really do “Taste Like Vacation!”

Planning to make these shrimp for me and the hubs. Do you think the marinade would be good on chicken? Thinking of the kids who aren’t a fan of shrimp.

    Thanks so much!

Hi Sherry, I haven’t tried this specific marinade on chicken but I think that would be tasty!

Hi Olga, I have marinated this recipe ahead of time before and it turned the shrimp rubbery that is why I wrote that. You can prep the marinade and shrimp separately but I would not recommend marinating this ahead of time.

Marinate them for 15 minutes and grill for 2 minutes per side on medium heat.
