Air Fryer Pork Chops Recipe
An air fryer is a great option for cooking all of your favorite fried recipes without the extra grease and it’s much faster than baking. We love air fryer recipes from Air Fryer Chicken Wings to Crispy Bacon and now these pork chops!
Air Frying is quick and leaves your food crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.
The Best Seasoning for Pork Chops
For the seasoning rub, we just used our favorite combination of ingredients: salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian seasoning.
I love this combination but the pork chops work great with just about any seasoning.
Can I use Bone-in Pork Chops?
Substitute for bone-in pork chops by adding 2-3 minutes of cook time. Add an extra minute if the chops are thicker.
How to Make Air Fryer Pork Chops
- Preheat the Air Fryer to 380°F, about 5 minutes.
- Coat both sides of the pork chops with the oil, we like the added crispiness the oil gives the pork chops (NOTE: Oil is optional).
- Season the pork chops on all sides with the dry rub.
- Cook 10-15 minutes, flipping pork chops halfway through cooking.
Pro Tip: Be careful not to overcook the pork chops, or they’ll become chewy and dry. One of our favorite tools for fail-proof meats is an instant-read thermometer. Air fry until the internal temperature reaches 145˚ in the thickest portion of the pork chops.
Why use Parchment in the Air Fryer?
If using parchment paper in the air fryer, be sure to get the type that is perforated for air to circulate. You can make your own parchment liners by cutting a sheet of parchment paper and punching holes with a hole puncher. Parchment paper is optional but there are some benefits to using it:
- Easier cleanup
- Protects air fryer basket from wear and scratches
- Protects delicate foods from breaking
Serve With
You’ll want to be sure to time your dinner so everything is ready to be served together. Pork chops pair well with instant pot mashed potatoes and fluffy white rice, and just about any vegetable side. Here are some of our favorites:
Enjoy these quick and easy, juicy seasoned pork chops cooked in an air fryer.
Make-Ahead
You can prep the pork chops by seasoning them in the morning or even a day ahead, allowing the seasoning to penetrate into the pork chops for more flavor. Keep the chops covered. Then cook per instructions.

I been looking for a good airfryer porkchop recipe I cook for a week for us how can i reheat them without drying them out Please help,,,
Hi Lena! You may find this article helpful for reheating pork chops.
Both the seasoning and the cooking time were perfect — the pork chops were delicious. Thank you for sharing this recipe.
You’re very welcome, Shar! I’m so glad you enjoyed the recipe.
I don’t have a air fryer. What air fryer do you recommend?
Thanks Patsy Regg
Hi Patsy! You can view my amazon shop by clicking on “shop” at the top of this page. Here is the link to my Cuisinart Air Fryer.
I made this recipe today in my air fryer. Pork chops came out so tender and flavorful. I’ll definitely use this recipe again.
I’m so glad you loved them, Terri! Thank you so much for sharing that excellent feedback with me!
You’re the best Natasha. I love watching you making different types of recipes and you make me laugh doing it. Thank you for sharing and making my day.
Thank you for your support, David. I hope you’ll love all the recipes that you will try from us!
Hello Natasha I have many of your recipes and the pork chops are the best and I have to say that you make me laugh watching you cook so many recipes. You make my day 💐🍿
Thank you for your good comments and feedback. We appreciate it!
I’m sorry to hear that, Jean. We didn’t think they were too spicy but you can always reduce the spices you use. Also, be sure to use a countertop air fryer (I used a basket type) and I preheated it. If you make these on the air-fry mode in your large oven, they will take longer to crisp and get brown on the outside.
The juiciest pork chops I ever had! And that seasoning 👌🏼 just added more salt and it was amazing. Thank you for the recipe! I doubt I’ll ever make them any other way.
You’re welcome! I’m so happy you enjoyed it, Angi!
Is the salt a fine table salt or a coarser salt, like kosher?
Hi Carla, I linked the salt that I used in the recipe. It’s a fine sea salt. Here is my amazon affiliate link
I have to say they were delicious. I only made 2 chops, did them for 12 minutes and they were perfect! I liked them so much that I sent the link for the recipe to my sister. My thanks.
That’s just awesome! Thank you for sharing your excellent review, Bill! I’m so glad it was a hit!
Great way to do bone in chop , 6 min and flip and 5 minutes More let them rest . Perfect was going to grill but rained so this was perfect. Temp 380
Thank you
You’re welcome! I’m so happy you enjoyed it, Dee!
These are the best pork chops I have ever made. Juicy, mouth watering!
That’s lovely feedback, thank you! I’m happy to know that you loved this recipe a lot.
Mine came out a little dry, & I followed a similar recipe for pork chops in my air fryer. did you do anything different ? I really want this to work, because I love PC’s…
Very tasty and the right amount of salt. Thank you! I can be assured anything on your website will be great!
Thank you, Sandra. I hope you’ll love the recipes that you will try.
*****AWESOME!! I had bacon wrapped chops that were 1.5 in thick from Aldi. Had to cook a little longer but they were so tasty. Love the dry rub! This is a definite keeper. Will be spending a lot of time on your site. The people with dry chops are overcooking them. They should get an instant read thermometer
That’s just awesome! Thank you for sharing your wonderful review, Sue!
They taste good, but are not at all crispy. I used my oven air fryer, instead of my stand up air fryer because I was cooking a big batch. I did not crowd them, and still they turned out pretty much steamed. I think they need more of a coating to be crispy (i.e. panko crumbs).
Hi Kay, using an oven air fryer without adjusting the baking time may not produce the same results as a standard air fryer. May have to experiment with the time and cook them a little longer to achieve the same crispness level.
Natasha! I have LOVED your recipes forever now thank you! We have a std air fryer but I fear I might be using it wrong! Do I put the chops in the basket? If so won’t the drippings fall into and onto the heating elements?! Or do I put in a tray- if so, is it really air frying?! Help!!
Hi! It depends on the type of air fryer that you have. You can reference the images above to see the one I used in this recipe. I was able to apply parchment paper (perforated for air to circulate) at the bottom of the basket. If you are using an air fryer similar to the Cuisinart stainless steel, you can put the tray underneath the basket so that it catches drippings. Since the pork chops will be in the basket, air will be able to circulate and it will be air fried. I hope that helps.
do you have any video’s of your recipies using your air fryer?
Hi Debora, my air fryer recipes are compiled here in this list. You may check each recipe and you’ll be able to see a video in the middle if there’s a video for it.
This was an amazing combination of spice. I have always looked at a basic recipe, proportions of spice, and this was by far the best combination. I made only several easy changes that gave the pork chops more intense flavor and unparalleled juicyness.
These are the changes:.
Instead of coating with oil first, I took the oil, added 2 tsp fresh lime juice and doubled the spices, turning it to a marinade. I marinated the pork chops, adding thinly sliced onion to the marinade. One hour later, of marinating the chops, I filled the rest of the recipe, making sure the thin sliced onions topped the chops for airfrying. I did not turn the 1/2 in. Chops and airfryed for 9 minutes. PERFECT!!! They were so tender and juicy! Thank you!!!!
You’re welcome! Thank you for your detailed feedback and comments, we appreciate it!
OMG, I will probably never cook pork chops any other way. I usually buy thin cut chops, so I reduced the cooking time to 7-8 minutes, but goodness! DH days they’re as good as a steak any day!
Aren’t they so good! I’m glad you enjoyed this recipe, Terri!
Hello! just wanted to say I love your recipes and enjoy your videos
Hello Maura, thank you for your love and support. It means a lot to us!
I do not have air fryer will you tell me a good one for a family of 4 please??
Hi Patricia, you can find our favorite kitchen tools in our Amazon Affiliate Shop HERE.
Good morning, I have a oven tray air fryer. (No room for more appliances).
Are the cooking Temps the same?
Hi Val, I imagine all air fryers have temperature in common, but if it has the features of a standard air fryer, then that should work great! I hope you love this recipe!
I use the same thickness pork chops you describe, and 8minutes is perfect!!!
I made these tonight. I followed the directions perfectly or so I thought. They were done in about 15 minutes. They were nice and juicy but not crisp at all. Tasted like baked pork. Any ideas what I did wrong?
Hi Cindy, it’s hard to say without being there. I would ensure no steps were altered or skipped, also making sure they are not crowded.
I want to buy an air fryer but not sure of a good one. my family is three people. need it to be simple and easy to use and clean. please any suggestions
Hi Janet, we have our favorite kitchen tools including this air fryer in our Amazon Affiliate Shop HERE.
Hi Janet, I purchased Gourmia air fryer from Costco and I love it, it’s a 6.5-7 quart, cost $50!! Can’t go wrong…good luck!
My chops had bone in so they did take longer. They were tasty AND tender. Next time center cut and it will be faster. Thanks Natasha!!
You’re welcome! I’m so happy you enjoyed it, Yvonne!
We just got one of these and have discovered that times vary greatly. These were done in 11 minutes with one flip. They were thin. Absolutely delicious. Slap yo mama and Paul Prudhommes meat flavoring.
Thanks for sharing your experience making and trying this recipe. I’m glad you liked it!
First time using the air fryer. Followed your recipe exactly. They turned out great. Thanks for the recipe!
You’re welcome, April. I hope you’ll love all the recipes that you will try!
I made these last night for dinner. I doubled the recipe (6 pork chops). It was delicious!!! AND SO EASY!!! My only critique is it was a little too salty for me (I doubled everything else but the salt and it was still too salty). I will definitely make these again!
Hi Allison, thank you for your comments and review. I recommend adjusting the salt next time if you prefer it to be less salty. I’m glad you still enjoyed it!
Followed directions Cooked 5 minutes on each side & turned out dry.
Hi Kallisto, did you possibly have it set on too high of a temperature? Some air fryers run hotter than others (I have 2 and they each operate a little differently). This could also happen if you have pork chops that are thinly sliced.
Just bought an air fryer and made pork chops tonight. They were delicious – probably the first time I haven’t overcooked pork chops. I had 2 pork chops and cooked for 12 minutes total – first for 7 minutes, then turned and continued for 5 more. I let the meat rest for about 5 minutes (covered on a plate) – Thanks Natasha!
Lovely to hear that the recipe was a success, Beth! Thanks a lot for your review and good feedback.
These chops are delicious! Tender and juicy, and the seasoning is perfect. My whole family loved them and asked me to make them again- sure sign of a winner recipe! Thank you Natasha!
I’m so glad this was a hit, Amanda! Thank you so much for sharing that great review with me!
My husband loves pork! I cooked this in my Cosori along with thick zucchini slices. Your recipe was delicious. I was out of onion powder so it should be even better next time! Thanks for sharing this delicious recipe!
You’re welcome! I’m so happy you enjoyed it, Martha!
Are your air fryer recipes suitable for Toaster Oven/Air Fryers? As you likely know,
toaster oven/air fryers are a multi purpose counter appliance.
I can’t really tell unless I personally try it. If you do an experiment, please share with us how it turns out. We’d love to know!
My second favorite pork chops next to crispy fried! They came out so juicy.
I’m so glad you enjoyed it!
I tried your recipe for Air Fryer Pork Chops and was really glad my sister couldn’t join me. Now I have this delicious supper to go home to! My chops were very thick and I adjusted the time. I have also given everyone on my hall your site address.
Yum! That sounds amazing! Thank you so much for sharing about my blog!
Love the taste…I thicker chops, so had to cook longer and they were a little dry…will get the appropriate thickness and do again! The seasoning is awelisome!!!
I’m glad you enjoyed it, Libby! I hope it turns out even better for you next time!
Delicious! Perfect pork chops mine are always dry and these turned out juicy and tender!
I used the oil on them as suggested 👍🏻
These are so juicy and tender! I’m glad you loved it, Stephanie!
I just bought an air fryer yesterday and this recipe is actually what made me really want an air fryer. This was super easy and considering I haven’t had pork chops in over ten years, it was actually really good! The seasoning was great. My husband and I aren’t very “pork choppy” people but we enjoyed it. I never leave reviews on things but i had to for this to let you know that if you’re wanting a quick easy recipe for chops this is it!! I made roasted potatoes and asparagus on the side. Two normal chops in the air fryer for 13 mins all together. They were nice and juicy! Not dry at all.
Wow! Thank you so much for your lovely review, Zoe! I’m so glad you gave this a try! I hope you try more of my recipes soon!
I tried the air fryer pork chops tonight, with my usual seasonings of adobo, black pepper and garlic. They were delicious. Even made the perforated parchment paper, which made clean up a breeze! Thanks for another great recipe!
God bless
You’re very welcome, Martham. Thank you for your good comments and feedback!
Did you use bone-in chops and how long did you cook them? How thick were they? I am trying to make air fryer chuletas.
I took a package of 2 boneless chops split horizontally to make 2 thinner chops and cut them the remainder to make 4 small chops. Then, I oiled and seasoned them the night before. Cocked them for lunch.
PREHEAT 390° 0:05 / Parchment liner / fit seasoned chops in basket / AF 390° 0:11 + [shake] to flip halfway. Next time, will only cook 0:10 !
I’m so glad that worked! Great idea making them thinner! Thank you so much for sharing that with us, Lily!
Hi! I normally love all your recipes and am so grateful for your website! However, my meat was tough and dry. Next time i will try to brine my meat so tenderize it before air frying it
Hi Arya, overcooking is often the culprit of dry or tough pork chops and it is easy to overcook in an air fryer, especially if the pork chops are thinner. I suggest checking don’t the pork chops sooner.
My air fryer is preset at 425,how long would I cook these?
Hi Marilyn, I would try to adjust that temp as close as possible to the recipe temp. Too high of a hit can dry these out.
Hello “ SUPER N !!!! “
Took Your Recommendation, and purchased the COSORI AF ……
Love it So Much, that I purchased a second !!!!! What an amazing tool for the Kitchen. Keep up the Phenomenal content please.
All my Family and Friends, think that I’m taking Culinary Classes at our Community College !!! LOL !!!

Thank you for that wonderful compliment, Brian! I’m so happy to hear you’ve enjoyed the Air Fryer! It’s a must-have!

All air fryer are different, it only have 5to 30 minute I want to cook my pork chop in it.
Thank you so much for sharing that with me.
I used my air frier 1 time and will never use it again. it’s retired. I like the taste of oil in everything. can this be cooked in the slow cooked or one pot?
Hi Roger, check out how we cooked our pork schnitzel. I bet you would love that one since it’s fried in oil.
Can these be made in a conventional oven?
Hi Lyn, that would work in a conventional oven at the same temperature, but I would definitely bake longer or until the internal temperature reaches 145˚F.
Pork chops scare me & this was easy! Worked out great & my picky family liked them! Thanks!
Hello Jennifer, so great to hear that you enjoyed making this recipe and that your family enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing your great feedback with us!
Hi Natasha, if I were to be using a bone-in pork chop that is about an inch to an inch and a half thick, how long should it be in the air fryer?
Hi Morgan, I haven’t tried bone in to advise on time in the Air Fryer. If you experiment, please let us know how you like it.
Natasha, can your recipes be adaptable to an Emeril Lagasse 360 XL AirFryer? I have a new one and trying to learn how to use it. His cookbook is great, but evasive when trying to make certain dishes and on some recipes, like yours, I am not sure if the setting should be put on AirFry, Bake, Rotisserie etc. Still learning! However, I absolutely love your recipes and wanted to use them in my AirFryer. Thanks!
Hi GA, we used an air fryer on the air fryer setting for this recipe. Since you have an air fryer, I’m sure it will work great!
Pl also show the airfryer in centigrade for cooking. Thanks.
Hi Medea, thank you for the suggestion. We write all of our temperatures in Farenheight to try to eliminate confusion or mix-ups. A good reference to calculate Celcius is: (32°F − 32) × 5/9 = 0°C , so 380˚F-32 x5/9 = 193˚C
Thanks for your recipe! I love my air fryer!
That’s just awesome! Thank you for sharing your wonderful review!
hi natasha their is a turkish recipe called turkish pide so can you do it please
Hi Jana, I haven’t tried that but if I come up with a great recipe, I will be sure to share it.
Thanks for your suggestion, Jana.
Hi Natasha!
I don’t have an air fryer…yet. 😉 Could I cook these in a convection oven at the same temp and time?
Hi Dawndi, if it is a convection oven, it will work at the same temperature but will take longer to bake.
These were extremely salty and I am wondering what I did wrong?? Anyone else think they were salty? My family could hardly eat them and we like salt!
Hi Ann, thank you so much for bringing that to our attention. I think that was an oversight on our part. I’m so sorry about that. I updated the recipe. It should read 1/2 tsp salt.
I’m needing the jello poke cake recipe with the white cream cheese iceing , please
Hi Pam, I don’t have anything like that currently but thank you for the suggestion!
I love these! Pork chops in the air fryer are SO GOOD!
Isn’t it the best?! I’m so happy you enjoyed that, April!
Pork chops are my favorite! Great way to make them!
It is seriously the best!
I love how easy the air fryer makes mealtime. These pork chops don’t disappoint!
So EASY!! They sure don’t! Thank you for stopping by, Katie!
